Practice guidelines for therapeutic drug monitoring of voriconazole: a consensus review of the Japanese Society of Chemotherapy and the Japanese Society of Therapeutic Drug Monitoring

چکیده
Voriconazole (VRCZ) is a triazole antifungal developed for the treatment of fungal infectious disease and is available for both oral and intravenous administration. It has potent activity against a broad spectrum of clinically significant pathogens, including Aspergillus, Candida, Cryptococcus, Fusarium, and Scedosporium [1]. VRCZ has a nonlinear pharmacokinetic profile with wide interand intraindividual variability [2]. This variability is caused by many factors, such as sex, age, race, genotypic variation, liver dysfunction, and the presence of food. Another important factor influencing the VRCZ pharmacokinetic profile is drug–drug interactions with CYP450 inhibitors as well as inducers. Genotypic variation in the metabolizing

A Review on Therapeutic Drug Monitoring of Immunosuppressant Drugs
Immunosuppressants require therapeutic drug monitoring because of their narrow therapeutic index and significant inter-individual variability in blood concentrations. This variability can be because of factors like drug-nutrient interactions, drug-disease interactions, renal-insufficiency, inflammation and infection, gender, age, polymorphism and liver mass. Drug monitoring is widely practiced ...

Voriconazole is an antifungal triazole, approved for management of invasive fungal diseases in patients. It is absorbed during two hours and its serum levels will be above 90%, based on the underlying factors, when the drug is administered orally. Voriconazole shows a propotional increase in an area under the plasma concentration-time curve (AUC), with increasing dose. Plasma protein binding of...
متن کاملTherapeutic Drug Monitoring of Sirolimus,Correlation With Laboratory Parameters In Transplant Patients
Sirolimus is a potent immunosuppressive agent administered as prophylactic agent to prevent rejection after organ transplantation. Sirolimus must be used within a narrow therapeutic window. Due to inter- and intra-variability, sirolimus blood concentrations may be affected, therefore, there is no possibility of predicting the sirolimus blood concentrations based on the dose patients received. T...
متن کاملConsensus guidelines for optimising antifungal drug delivery and monitoring to avoid toxicity and improve outcomes in patients with haematological malignancy, 2014.
Antifungal agents may be associated with significant toxicity or drug interactions leading to sub-therapeutic antifungal drug concentrations and poorer clinical outcomes for patients with haematological malignancy. These risks may be minimised by clinical assessment, laboratory monitoring, avoidance of particular drug combinations and dose modification. Specific measures, such as the optimal ti...
متن کاملEffectiveness of Electronic Health Care and Drug Monitoring Program to Prevent COVID-19 and Adherence to Therapeutic Regimen in Patients with Ischemic Heart Disease- A Pilot Study
Background and Aim: One of the high-risk groups due to the prevalence of COVID-19 are patients with chronic heart disease. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of the electronic health care and drug monitoring program to prevent COVID-19 and adherence to therapeutic regimen of patients with chronic heart disease (ischemic heart disease). Methods: This pilot study is a quasi-e...
